Description of Homework

Homework assignments will be made from the Exercises at the end of each
chapter in your textbook, as well as, an accumulation of problems designed
to enhance your knowledge about scientific concepts studied throughout the
course of this year.  Each assignment will consist of several problems to be
solved according to the assigned format, showing all work.  The goal in the
homework assignments is to be able to demonstrate your thinking ability.  Do
not hurry through, copy, or take the homework assignments lightly.  You will
see very similar problems on quizzes and examinations.  Work with your study
group on the assignments, but do understand what you are doing and know how
to arrive at solutions independently.  Understanding the material each week
is important because most of the new concepts build on the previous ones.
Your weekly understanding also makes studying for the final examination much
easier.
